A country house in Pereyaslav, set amongst a pine forest
Trident Modular case study: a country house built using panel-frame construction technology in Pereyaslav. Screw piles, panoramic glazing, 14 m² terrace.
For this project, the client chose the ready-made Kora design from the standard Trident Modular range as the basis for a private holiday home. The task was not to design a bespoke house from scratch, but to adapt the ready-made solution to a specific wooded plot, uneven terrain, the tree root systems and the family’s holiday plans.

Objective: to build a country house in a wooded area without unduly disturbing the site
The client chose a plot in a pine forest near a lake. It is a picturesque spot for a private holiday home, but it had its limitations: uneven terrain, the root systems of the pine trees—which had to be preserved—and the need for a ready-built house without a lengthy bespoke design process.
Trident Modular’s brief was to create a fully-fledged country house for family holidays, preserve the site’s natural surroundings, and employ a structural solution that did not require a permanent foundation or extensive earthworks.
Do you have a plot of land for a country house?
Trident Modular can help you choose a ready-made project or adapt a solution to suit your plot, terrain and intended use.
Key project conditions
-
- Without a conventional foundation. The house had to be installed in such a way as not to damage the pine tree roots and to avoid extensive earthworks. To achieve this, a foundation on screw piles was chosen.
- A fully-furnished, turnkey holiday home. The house features two bedrooms, a kitchen-diner, a bathroom, a utility room and a covered terrace. This layout meets all the basic requirements for a comfortable family holiday in the countryside.
- An aesthetic in keeping with the location. The house was designed to blend seamlessly into its woodland surroundings whilst maintaining a contemporary, recognisable appearance. To this end, the design combines understated architecture, a striking façade and large panoramic glazing.
The Trident Modular Solution: adapting a ready-made design to a woodland plot
For the project, the client chose Kora — one of Trident Modular’s ready-made designs. This solution formed the basis for the future holiday home, which was adapted to suit the woodland plot, the need to preserve the trees, and the family’s holiday plans.
The project was constructed using the panel-frame method. This approach made it possible to combine structural precision, contemporary architecture and the adaptation of the house to the specific conditions of the site.
What has been achieved in the project
Foundation on screw piles
The house is raised above the ground on screw piles. This solution made it possible to preserve the surrounding pine trees, avoid disturbing the ground with large-scale works, and build the house on a plot with uneven terrain — which is why the choice of foundation for a timber-frame house in such projects depends not only on the structure, but also on the characteristics of the plot.
The facade features a modern, understated aesthetic. The vertical cladding in a burnt-wood colour on the gables and side facades is combined with graphite-coloured metal on the roof and gable ends.
This design is sleek, modern and free from unnecessary visual clutter. The house blends in with its woodland surroundings, yet remains distinctive.
Panoramic end wall
The front of the house features floor-to-ceiling glazing with large doors leading out onto the terrace. This allows the pine forest and the lake in the distance to become part of the interior.
Panoramic glazing brings more natural light into the kitchen-diner and visually blurs the boundary between the house and the surrounding environment.
Covered terrace, 14 m²
The 14 m² covered terrace is a sheltered outdoor space under a single roof. It serves as an extension of the house out onto the street: for morning coffee, evening get-togethers and al fresco dining.
Thanks to its location near the woods and a body of water, the terrace becomes one of the key relaxation areas.
Planning a family holiday
The layout comprises two equally sized bedrooms at the rear, an open-plan kitchen-living room with large windows, a bathroom and a utility room.
Everything is clearly zoned: the private area, the communal space and the access to the terrace all form part of the cohesive design of this country house. In this case, the ready-made Trident Modular design served as the basis for the holiday home, where every element has its place.
The implementation of this format is based on Trident Modular technology, whereby the design, structure and configuration are tailored to the intended use and the specific characteristics of the site.
The result: a holiday home you’ll want to return to every weekend
The result was a turnkey country house in a pine forest: featuring panoramic glazing, a covered terrace, a well-thought-out layout designed for family holidays, and a structural solution that preserved the site’s natural surroundings.
This is not just a private holiday home, but a space for relaxation amidst nature, where the house does not intrude on the landscape but works in harmony with it.
Key results of the project
-
Nature — within
The panoramic glazing and the pine trees right next to the house blur the boundary between the interior and the forest. It’s not just a window — it’s a living landscape that becomes part of the daily routine of relaxation.
-
A ready-made framework for implementation
Choosing the Trident Modular project meant we didn’t have to start development from scratch and were able to adapt an existing, well-thought-out solution to the specific plot, the client’s requirements and the nature of their holiday home.
-
Caring for the woodland area
Screw piles made it possible to minimise disruption to the ground and preserve the trees on the site. The natural surroundings remain the site’s key asset, and the house has become an integral part of them.
-
Year-round operation
The house features 200 mm of thermal insulation in the walls and 250 mm in the roof, as well as energy-efficient windows. As a result, the house remains comfortable both in the summer heat and during the winter cold.
What scenarios is this format suitable for?
This type of design may be suitable for private country plots, holiday homes in wooded areas, houses near bodies of water, or locations where it is important to preserve the natural landscape. A ready-made design provides a clear framework for construction, whilst the panel-frame construction method allows the house to be adapted to the specific plot.
This type of property is ideal for family holidays, short weekend breaks or as a regular holiday home outside the city, if you’re looking for a compact, functional and modern home without an overly complex layout.
Trident Modular can help you choose a ready-made design or tailor a solution to suit your plot, usage scenario and construction method. Please submit an enquiry to discuss your requirements and the possible implementation options.
