For Glibivka Family Park, the Trident Modular team built bespoke rental homes set amongst the woodland on challenging terrain. The task was not to devise a concept in place of the client, but to take their idea and adapt it for practical construction, whilst preserving the architectural style, functionality and operational readiness of the properties.

Task: to implement a non-standard architectural design on complex terrain

The client — the owner of the Glibivka Family Park holiday resort — already had a clear vision for the future holiday homes. It was not a standard architectural design, but a distinctive concept featuring massive roof overhangs, a vertical timber façade, panoramic terraces and the homes situated on a natural slope.

Trident Modular’s task was to preserve the spirit of the client’s vision whilst making it technically feasible: to adapt the project for actual production, devise structural solutions for the complex terrain, and prepare the buildings for use as fully-fledged accommodation for guests.

Do you have a ready-made idea or a sketch of your future home?

Trident Modular can help adapt the concept to the production technology, site and actual usage scenario.

Key challenges of the project

  • Complex terrain. The structures had to be positioned on the slope, raised above ground level on metal supports.
  • The architect’s concept. The client had a clear vision: contemporary architecture with massive roof overhangs, a vertical timber façade and panoramic terraces. It was important to preserve this character whilst ensuring the design was technically feasible.
  • The functionality of the guest accommodation. Each unit was designed to function as a fully-fledged guest room: complete with a kitchen, bathroom, terrace and finished interior.
  • Integration into the natural environment. The houses were not meant to clash with the woodland, but to look as though they were part of the landscape.

Trident Modular’s solution: adapting to the technology without compromising the architectural aesthetic

Trident Modular reviewed the client’s design and converted it into production documentation using the panel-frame construction method. This made it possible to preserve the key architectural features whilst ensuring precision in manufacturing, installation and subsequent operation.

Panel-frame construction technology for bespoke architecture

The project was constructed using panel-frame technology. This approach made it possible to work not only with a standard building design but also with a bespoke architectural style: a distinctive roof, open terraces, a timber façade and a functional interior.

In terms of its implementation, this project is linked to the field of frame-built houses, but it is not a standard solution: it has been adapted to the specific plot, terrain and intended use.

Houses on metal supports

The houses are mounted on steel columns with diagonal braces. This design allows them to appear to ‘float’ above the slope, without interfering with the natural terrain and preserving a sense of lightness and open space.

A wooden facade and terraces overlooking the forest

The vertical wooden façade, in a warm yellow-gold hue, creates the impression of a wooden structure set amidst a forest: by day it glows in the sun, whilst in the evening it takes on a softer, cosier tone.

Each house has a terrace with a glass balustrade. The transparent balustrade offers views of the forest and gives guests a sense of space without any unnecessary visual barriers. The terrace features a lounge area with a hanging cocoon chair, lightweight outdoor chairs and a round table — it is precisely these details that create a relaxing atmosphere and make the property instantly recognisable in photographs.

Interior: minimalism that needs nothing added to it

The interior comprises a kitchen area, a bathroom, storage space, a relaxation area and access to the terrace. The décor features birch plywood, a dark worktop, an organic mirror and built-in storage. The space is not overloaded with details and complements the house’s overall appearance set against the natural surroundings.

The result: a ready-made business asset with a distinctive identity

As a result, Glibivka Family Park acquired not just individual houses, but a fully-fledged business asset with a distinctive character: guest accommodation featuring distinctive architecture, functional layouts and fully ready for use.

Key results of the project

  1. Recognisability. The property’s appearance serves as a marketing tool in its own right: the houses on the hillside, with their wooden façades and open terraces, are highly memorable and serve as a visual focal point for the tourist complex.
  2. Ease of use. The homes have everything guests need for their stay: a kitchen, a bathroom, a lounge area, a terrace and finished interiors. The owner does not need to make any further alterations to the space once the project is complete.
  3. Seamless integration into the landscape. Thanks to their elevated design, the houses do not look out of place on the rugged terrain and preserve the sense of the natural environment.
  4. Scalability. The panel-frame construction method allows this format to be replicated to expand the accommodation capacity of the tourist complex.

Why do these types of accommodation work well for the tourism industry?

This format works well for tourist complexes, holiday resorts and recreational venues: instead of a traditional hotel building, the owner gets separate guest houses that blend into the natural surroundings.

At Glibivka Family Park, each unit functions as a self-contained accommodation with its own terrace, kitchen, bathroom and lounge area. This format is ideal for short-term stays, holidays in the countryside and promoting the complex through photos, videos and booking platforms.

For Trident Modular, this is also an example of the implementation of B2B commercial buildings, where architecture, construction and readiness for operation are all geared towards the client’s business objectives.

For which projects can this format be adapted

This format can be adapted for:

  • tourist resorts;
  • holiday resorts;
  • glamping;
  • suburban hotel grounds;
  • owners of plots of land near a forest, lake or river;
  • investors in short-term lettings;
  • businesses wishing to expand their accommodation capacity with individual properties.

Trident Modular can adapt this format to suit a different site, architectural concept or use case, taking into account Trident Modular’s manufacturing technology.
