Shumiland Case Study: How We Integrated Business with Nature

The Challenge

Trident Modular's task was not just to build real estate, but to implement a complete commercial infrastructure within an existing forest.

Key project challenges:

1. Environmental ultimatum: A ban on felling trees and altering the natural landscape. Any heavy construction machinery could damage the root system, and changing the terrain could disrupt the park's ecosystem.
2. Time factor: The park was supposed to open before the start of the peak season. Classic capital construction did not fit the schedule and would have created dirt and noise incompatible with guests' relaxation.
3. Object diversity It was necessary to create three buildings with fundamentally different purposes (food service, entertainment, retail), but within a unified design code that harmonises with the park's “fairytale” concept.

The Trident Solution

We applied factory production technologypre-fabricatedThis allowed us to move 90% dirty and noisy jobs to the workshop, guarantee high precision in the assembly of structures, and keep the forest intact.

Details of implemented objects:

1. Panoramic restaurant (90 m² interior + 150 m² terrace) This is the main hospitality facility in the park. To integrate it into the dense forest setting, we adapted the project to the existing trees.

• Engineering solution We «bypassed» nature – living tree trunks pass through the floor and roof of the terrace. This has created a unique sense of presence: guests dine literally under the tree canopies.
• Design The use of decorative wood panelling, corrugated sheeting, and panoramic windows has provided a modern look and a sense of space.

2. Mirror Maze (60 m²) One of the most modern attractions in Ukraine, which required surgical precision.

• Technical feature These aren't just walls, they are an engineering structure. The frame technology has allowed for the achievement of perfect wall geometry, which is necessary for fixing mirrors and creating optical illusions.
• Comfort The integrated ventilation system ensures constant air exchange, which is critically important for a confined space with high footfall.

3. Retail pavilion / Souvenir shop (84 m²)

• Functionality: An energy-efficient retail building that protects goods and staff from the weather. The minimalist exterior does not distract from the overall atmosphere of the park, but clearly marks the shopping area.

 Business outcome

1. Quick start The customer received the ready business assets just in time for the season.
2. Eco-reputation: Thanks to the preservation of the trees, the park gained an additional marketing advantage – a location with a unique atmosphere.
3. Energy efficiency: All the buildings are insulated and suitable for operation at any time of year, allowing businesses to operate not just in the summer.
